Summary:

As a member of the User Experience (UX) design team, in collaboration with other University Marketing disciplines and campus units, the Sr. UX Designer combines the synergistic practice of aligning business needs and product requirements to create user-focused and intuitive products, interfaces, platforms for mobile and web. The Sr. UX Designer also combines an inspiring visual sensibility, interaction design best practices and user research to enhance Ohio State University’s brand image within University Marketing and The Ohio State Digital enterprise.

The ideal candidate demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, cross-disciplinary project leadership, a proactive work style and comfort navigating ambiguous environments.  Focused on developing scalable, inspiring and seamless digital solutions, the selected candidate will lead the ideation, creation, and alignment of digital experiences within a fast-moving marketing environment while advising, consulting and partnering across disciplines, including full-stack developers, other designers, project managers, strategists and writers.  The Sr. UX designer has demonstrable knowledge and expertise with UX deliverables (i.e. userflows, sitemaps, wireframes, wireflows) and user-research methodologies, will be a champion in design principles, and is able to multi-task projects of varying complexity structures concurrently.

With an expert understanding of product and web design lifecycle, the Sr. UX Designer assists the UX Director in partnering with University Marketing disciplines to align with strategies that enhance omni-channel experiences across the enterprise while possessing the ability to manage time wisely across projects and competing individual/team priorities.  They are also expected to exhibit the behaviors associated with the Office of Advancement’s core competencies:  Leadership, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork and Collaboration, and Communication/Interpersonal Effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities

60% Technical Execution:  Ideate and create UX deliverables (sitemaps, wireframes, libraries, user flows, concept maps, wireflows); Design and prototype digital experiences and interactions for effective hand-off to the UI/Digital team to execute visual styling; Documents and communicates technical requirements; Compile deliverable and research findings presentations.

25%  Concept and Direction:  Plan and facilitate user research, synthesize findings into actionable reports and deliverables; research and share best practices and UX trends/best practices/usability research; Conduct user research and work with Analytics team to validate design decisions; Support in the management of freelance talent, agency partners and internship program; Ideate, create and maintain digital UI brand elements and guidelines; Guide, coach and mentor peer designers.

10% Strategic Vision:  Translate partner, business and user needs/goals into creative user-centric digital solutions; Collaborate and partner enterprise-wide to enhance the digital experiences across the university; Support in leading cross-functional University Marketing and partner working sessions; Support in team management to align with University Marketing goals.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications) or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 5 years of digital design experience in a professional environment; Working knowledge of UX disciplines including interface design, information architecture, usability and interaction design; Demonstrated expertise of building, implementing and maintaining user-centric omni-channel experiences; Professional working knowledge of user research methodologies, best practices for user research, and ability to persuade others with research findings and recommendations; Proficient in SketchApp and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) or similar design tools; Strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centric digital design solutions.

Desired:

Expert proficiency with Adobe CC and/or SketchApp or similar design tools; Master’s degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications) or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) related field; Experience working in a large matrixed organization; Experience working in higher education.

Responsibilities:

  • Performance Analysis: Track and monitor performance of assigned marketing initiatives and channels. Partner with Engineering to create and maintain automated performance dashboards as needed.
  • Insight Generation & Optimization Recommendation: Conduct ad-hoc analyses to uncover new insights and make recommendations on how to improve business performance; leverage various analytical and statistical approaches to deepen the quality of insights.
  • Design Experiments: Partner with the initiative owner to design and deploy testing iterations designed to continuously improve business results. Actively contribute to marketing planning and execution.
  • Funnel Conversion: Partner with creative and product teams to continuously test and optimize email/push/SMS “nurturing” communication to customers and prospects to optimize performance at each step of the funnel.
  • Competitive Benchmarking: Research and capture competitive activity in assigned channels. Communicate insights and recommendations to the broader team.

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another business-related field
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Analytical mindset; highly proficient in SQL, Excel, and statistical analysis methods
  • Experience with R, Tableau and/or HTML skills (or willingness to learn)
  • Experience with experiment design and A/B test analysis across multiple KPIs
  • Experience with ad management and tracking platforms, such as Google Adwords, Google Analytics and Facebook preferred. Previous experience with a marketing automation platform (eg, Marketo, Braze, LeanPlum, Eloqua) a plus
  • Experience analyzing email/push notification programs, and combining send/open metrics with internal financial metrics

Senior Analyst, SEO

We are looking for you – dynamic, best-in-class talent – to join the Reprise team as a Senior Analyst, SEO. In this role you will be responsible for helping Reprise clients improve their visibility in organic and eRetail search results. The senior analyst will contribute the majority of recommendations to one key client with the help of the SEO director. Applicants will be expected to be regularly client-facing. Candidates must have a strong grasp of core search techniques such as content strategy and technical analysis. The senior analyst must understand client goals and the SEO strategy and incorporate them into the appropriate SEO tactics. Essential Functions

Collaborate with social, SEM, and offline marketing teams to implement SEO tactics designed to meet client’s marketing goals
Optimize eRetail assets
Develop content recommendations and technical analysis presentations
Decide upon final keyword lists with minimal supervision
Prioritize tasks based on their likely effectiveness and ability to be implemented
Present findings and back up recommendations with hard data
Identify duplicates or other problems that can arise in reporting or optimization

Qualifications

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Work Experience:

2 – 4 years’ experience in SEO
Experience with project management tools is a plus
Experience with Fortune 1000 brands and/or within an agency environment
Skills:

Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of eCommerce SEO concepts
Comfortable with platforms including Adobe Analytics (Omniture SiteCatalyst) or Google Analytics

Account Manager – Digital Products and Services

We are looking for an account manager who loves building productive relationships. This person will serve as the voice for the client and work closely with the digital marketing and engineering teams.
