Position Summary

This senior analyst role within our Marketing Performance & Analytics team will manage analytical projects with self sufficiency and minimal guidance from senior team members, relying on their knowledge of our business and data to create analyses that give insight and direction to the business.  This role requires top level, polished communication to not only deliver data, but answer the business problem and give the data/analysis context.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to deliver results and presentations to stakeholders
  • Produce easy-to-understand, error-free, timely deliverables including web analytics, marketing performance, cross channel, web behavior and conversion rate optimization
  • Create dashboards and reports for key business indicators
  • Participate in developing analytically sound solutions
  • Responsible for leveraging trends, methodologies and best practices within analytics
  • Leverage multiple forms of data to analyze the efficacy of marketing initiatives and create prioritized, actionable recommendations
  • Build strong relationships across multiple disciplines and teams (Finance, Marketing, Platform, Merchandising, etc.)
  • Questions the norms and elevate the value of processes behind their work
  • Oversees quality of deliverables and work with team to define common, consistent approaches and methodologies

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Web analytics tools – Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL and python (preferred)
  • Experience with Data Visualization solutions (Tableau)

Qualifications/Skills

Ideal Candidate

As the ideal candidate for this Marketing Optimization Analyst position, you will be instrumental in ideating, executing and analyzing marketing campaigns. Primary Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships and work closely with cross functional teams – including Marketing, Sales, Finance and IT – to identify opportunities for customer acquisition and cross-sell
  2. Use data to tell stories and present findings to leadership in compelling ways to help drive marketing and sales decisions. Identify and suggest optimization opportunities and recommendations to appropriate executional teams
  3. Report on sales and marketing KPIs like sales/conversions, leads, response rates, website traffic and CPA/COA. Ensure timely delivery of reporting and insights, and build user-friendly answers to basic marketing questions (e.g., executive dashboards)
  4. Use IGS databases and third-party data sources to segment data, creating direct mail and email lists that accomplish campaign goals of efficient customer acquisition; ensure that campaign tracking is properly in place; create reporting that clearly communicates campaign success and provide post-campaign summaries and key takeaways
  5. Partner with Marketing, Sales and Finance to assist in creating the annual sales budget and provide recommendations for monthly sales forecasts
  6. Use internal and external data, including demographic data, to segment populations of potential customers into similar groups to allow for a targeted contact strategy. Drive profitable customer behavior through segmentation and lifecycle initiatives
  7. Analyze sales funnels and customer intent; measure ROI of online and offline advertising campaigns. Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data.
  8. Work with Marketing to teach best practices on data analysis, testing and targeting, industry tools and trends, measuring campaign results using statistical significance, and other marketing best practices

Required Skills

  1. 3+ years of work experience as a Marketing Optimization Analyst or in a similar role
  2. Strong business acumen, critical thinking and analytical abilities
  3. In-depth understanding of marketing campaign tactics including Direct Mail, Email Marketing, PPC/SEM and SEO
  4. Knowledge of SQL and of Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas/pivot tables) and VBA; knowledge of data warehousing and data mining
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey complex ideas to leadership and to communicate with both technical and nontechnical audiences
  6. Strong project management skills; can drive multiple initiatives involving multiple stakeholders at once; excellent organization skills

Digital Media Strategist & Buyer

The successful candidate will possess creative, imaginative and sociable qualities with strong communication and analytical skills. This individual will be responsible for the negotiation, execution and placement of all interactive media strategies for the Agency and the agency client base. The candidate will excel in the use of available tools to continuously analyze and develop recommendations for all online media strategies including, but not limited to:

Our Conversion Optimization Specialists use a combination of art and science to identify optimization opportunities for our clients. They understand our client’s business and optimize against actions that will yield a positive return on investment. They use research techniques to uncover insights and hypotheses, build testing roadmaps and prioritize using level of effort and potential level of impact. They translate test ideas to copywriters, designers and developers, overseeing from concept through execution. They analyze test results, refine the roadmap based on learnings from previous tests and new analytical observations. They partner internally with project managers and digital marketers across SEO, Paid Media and Analytics to ensure an aligned and strategic approach and externally with our clients to provide data analysis, insights and strategic direction to increase web conversion rates and value.

  • Complete qualitative research tactics such as User Testing, heuristic evaluations, competitive audit, customer surveys, CSR interviews, or chat log analysis

The Digital Marketing Analyst will be responsible for reporting and analysis to support our growing Direct to Consumer business. This individual will have strong analytical skills who can apply those skills to strategically deliver actionable business insights to grow our online businesses.
