What is R, and Why Should I Care?

At this month’s event, our very own Tim Wilson from Analytics Demystified will talk like a pirate… Well. No.

R is an open source programming language developed of, for, and by the analyst. Does that sound scary? Maybe it is, but it shouldn’t be.

Tim will share the journey he undertook over he course of 2016 to up his skills and capabilities as an analyst by learning R. Whether you wind up diving into “programming with data” yourself or not, you will almost certainly leave the event thinking about your data and what it can do for you in new ways
