Data and analytics Interns? At my company? I’d never really thought about it!

NB: To mix things up, and because there is an academia tie-in to this month’s event, we’ll be hosting the meetup in the Arena District in the Denison EDGE space (300 Marconi Blvd., #200, formerly the Sparkspace space).

We’ll validate parking for anyone who parks in the Marconi Garage at 245 Marconi Boulevard. Bring your parking ticket with you to the meetup.

We know the data and analytics industry is growing. Companies are struggling to hire good talent, but new grads often get stuck in the “you need experience to get experience” doom loop. Through a series of discussions and happenings, we realized that, hey, maybe our little meetup can help do something about that!

If you’re at company—of any size—you might just be missing an opportunity to expand your capacity to do some cool data things…for cheap…while also prepping the next generation of analysts (while also giving yourself a leg up on hiring them!).

In this month’s event, we’ll be having a panel discussion with representatives from multiple locally-based universities to chat about the what, why, wherefore, and how of analytics internships. Not only should you attend, but you should think about who the first person you’d need to pitch about bringing on some intern support would be and bring them, too!
